Update of Hypothetical Household tool

The Nososco group for social benefits has concluded calculations of compensation rates and updated the Hypothetical Household tool with these data for the year of 2023. 

These comparable data on income, compensations rates, social benefits and more are unique in any context, and are very suitable for research and analysis on the impact of social benefits in the Nordic countries. 

Data is available from all Nordic countries (except Greenland and Åland) from 2007-2023 (some countries report data from fewer years). 

All selected data is available for online selection and presentation in the tool as well as available for download. Please be prudent and remember to cite the data source properly (see here for guidance) 

In this update of the Nososco Hypothetical Household tool, the group of national experts have decided to include estimated calculations of Taxation rate and data on rates of Disposable income in percent of gross income.  

These added data is available for both sections on income: Income from benefits and Income from work. 

It is therefore possible to use the tool for analysis on rates on taxation for both regular income from employment but also from social benefits. This new data adds to the usability and information in this unique collection of comparable data from the Nordic countries.
