Who we are
NHWStat is the shared website for the Nordic Medico-Statistical Committee (NOMESCO) and the Nordic Social Statistical Committee (NOSOSCO).
These two committees under the Nordic Council of Ministers are tasked with:
- working to ensure that health and social statistics in the Nordic Countries is comparable between countries
- gathering statistics within this field, and
- presenting these statistics and making them widely available
On this page are found lists of the national delegates of the committees and the members of the working groups that collect our data, compute indicators and have the responsibility of editing this web page.

The Reference Group is responsible for all statistics concerning medicines in Health statistics for the Nordic Countries, and has also been behind two editions of Medicines Consumption in the Nordic Countries.

The Nososco working group on Social benefits carries out comparisons between the level of social benefits for selected household types. This is one of the central pillars of the statistics found in Social Protection in the Nordic Countries.
